Reading Recovery


Reading Recovery is a collaborative approach between the school and the home designed to promote the development of literacy in the early years of schooling.
It is an intensive individualised program designed around a particular child’s strengths in a 1 to 1 setting with a trained Reading Recovery teacher.

All students, following five terms at school, undergo early assessment screening to check development in literacy.
Children experiencing difficulties are identified and placed on the program for intensive support in the development of literacy skills.
